Services

Practical help for the technology you use every day.

You do not need to know the technical name for the problem. Start with what you can see, what changed and what you need the device to do.

Six ways Techease can help

Clear scope, explained before work begins.

01

Device setup

Get a new or reset laptop, desktop or phone ready for everyday use.

This may include

  • Operating-system setup and updates
  • Connecting existing Wi-Fi and peripherals
  • Installing agreed applications from legitimate sources
  • Basic accessibility, privacy, backup and security settings
  • A plain-English walkthrough of the finished setup

Good to know

Large data transfers, paid licences, extensive software installation and unresolved account recovery may need more time or a separate estimate.

02

Home Wi-Fi and router setup

Set up a compatible router or investigate connection and coverage problems.

This may include

  • Connecting and configuring a compatible router
  • Choosing an appropriate network name and security configuration
  • Connecting agreed household devices
  • Diagnosing common coverage, interference and connection problems
  • Explaining equipment or positioning changes that may help

Good to know

Internet-provider service, unsuitable building wiring and incompatible equipment are outside Techease's control. New hardware is separately approved and charged.

03

Malware removal and security help

Careful help when a computer behaves unexpectedly or may not be secure.

This may include

  • An initial assessment and reputable security scans
  • Removal or quarantine of identified unwanted software where practical
  • Operating-system, browser and security updates
  • Guidance on password changes after the device is trusted
  • A clear explanation of remaining risks and next steps

Good to know

No service can guarantee that every threat or consequence has been removed. Severe compromise may require a reinstall, specialist recovery or contact with a bank, platform or authority.

04

Account setup and everyday help

Guidance creating, configuring, recovering or understanding an online account.

This may include

  • Guided account creation and basic profile configuration
  • Privacy, security, notification and recovery-setting guidance
  • Installing and signing in to official applications
  • Explaining common features and safer everyday use

Good to know

You remain in control of passwords, one-time codes and recovery information. Techease cannot override a platform's identity checks or recovery decisions.

05

Laptop and desktop hardware repairs

Assess a physical fault, startup problem or component that may need replacing.

This may include

  • Initial fault assessment and diagnostic time
  • A written estimate when parts or offsite work are required
  • Replacement of approved, compatible components
  • Basic functional testing after repair

Good to know

Parts are separate and purchased only after approval. Customers should maintain a backup because diagnostic and repair work can involve data-loss risk.

06

Advice and purchasing consultation

Choose a device or service that suits how you actually use technology.

This may include

  • Clarifying needs, budget, accessibility and existing equipment
  • Explaining useful specifications without jargon
  • Comparing suitable device or service categories
  • Identifying likely accessories, software and setup needs

Good to know

Product availability and prices change. Advice reflects the information available at the time and does not replace retailer or manufacturer warranties.

Other or not sure

Describe the problem in your own words.

Techease will check whether the request is within scope before a visit is arranged. A preferred time is not booked until it is personally confirmed.
